Who's holding the week

Four master teachers from four different continents, each walking a different path, all arriving at the same place: presence, connection, and the search for what is true.

Alejandro Del Río
Ceremony & Teaching

Alejandro Del Río

Flying in from Costa Rica, Alejandro is one of the teachers who helped shape my own path. A longtime student of the Sun Dance tradition and Indigenous ceremonial practice connected to the Lakota spiritual lineage, his work is rooted in nature, discipline, community, and deep spiritual inquiry.

Alejandro will be with us throughout the week leading afternoon teachings and sacred ceremonies including Sweat Lodge, Sound Bath, and traditional plant medicine work. His teachings invite us to slow down, listen carefully, and reconnect with something ancient inside ourselves.

Venerable Deyang
Meditation & Dharma

Venerable Deyang

Bodhisattva Nature Foundation

Originally from China, Venerable Deyang chose monastic life not only for personal liberation, but with the vow to help alleviate the suffering of others. The compassionate guidance of great teachers awakened in him a sincere dedication to the Buddhist path and a lifelong commitment to practice.

Throughout the retreat, Venerable Deyang will guide us in Zen meditation, Dharma talks, Tai Chi, breathwork, and contemplative practices designed to cultivate stillness, awareness, and clarity in everyday life.

Big John Campbell
The Land & True North

Big John Campbell

Part farmer, part philosopher, part Canadian folk legend, Big John Campbell followed his own True North long ago. After walking away from a more conventional life, he and his partner Becca built a sustainable working farm rooted in simplicity, self-reliance, and deep respect for the land.

Over the years, Big John became known for growing some of the finest produce in Canada before eventually creating a fully licensed cannabis operation integrated into the farm itself. Farmer, father, naturalist, and storyteller, he will host us on the land all week, sharing lessons from a lifetime spent listening closely to nature, the seasons, and the wisdom that comes from working the soil.

I'm not a monk, guru, or spiritual leader. I'm just Andy, a guy trying to keep finding his True North like everybody else.

Truthfully, I think I found it once. Then I lost it. And ever since, I've been sniffing it out again, through teachers, nature, movement, stillness, mistakes, community, and paying closer attention to life itself. The direction keeps changing. Maybe that's part of it.

This retreat came from wanting to gather together some of the people, places, and practices that have genuinely helped me along the way. Not to escape life, but to return to it stronger. More alive. More connected. Better for the people we love.

The teachers are the real deal. The land is powerful. The experience will be unlike anything else.

And hopefully, somewhere in the rain and amongst the cedar trees and silence and laughter and ceremony, we all leave with a clearer sense of where we're headed next.

Simple, deep, and thoughtfully curated.
